Too bad you weren't there during the bdsm/leather expo
For all that we have done, as a civilization, as individuals, the universe is not stable, and nor is any single thing within it. Stars consume themselves, the universe itself rushes apart, and we ourselves are composed of matter in constant flux. Colonies of cells in temporary alliance, replicating and decaying and housed within, an incandescent cloud of electrical impulses. This is reality, this is self knowledge, and the perception of it will, of course, make you dizzy.

Also considered it, although bonus points for being helpful while staying in character.

El Paseo in Mill Valley is delicious. The ferry across the bay to Marin will get you to the area. It's worth it.

Avoid bringing a car for most of the trip. They got great public transportation (BART, MUNI, ferries (Im talking about the boats not the orientation), local buses etc...and lousy and expensive parking.

Yeah if I rent a vehicle it will be a motorcycle. And I'm sure I can just park it at the hotel.

I recently advised a European friend (actually, a member on here) on his trip to San Francisco, and I'm pretty sure he came out very happy...

    Must-do's:

Mama's for breakfast in North Beach by Washington Square Park (expect a half-hour wait; but it's worth it)

Sam's (take the ferry to Tiburon [i.e., Marin]) on a weekend morning for brunch (only open for brunch on weekends)

Golden Gate Park (check out the Rose Garden)

Zeitgeist (for hamburgers and beer, w/ friends) in the Mission (especially on a sunny day)

    Highly recommended's:
