Default What do webpage bookmarks say about a person?

I don't know, it was just a random thought I had, that my bookmarked webpages say a lot about who I am, and where my interests lie.

Do you think your marked websites say a lot about who you are?

(Feel free to post your own or whatever or just discuss, I'm really not sure what I'm expecting here... Is this even the right sub-forum for this?)

    Where is your porn folder?
“Everybody has a secret world inside of them. All of the people of the world, I mean everybody. No matter how dull and boring they are on the outside, inside
them they've all got unimaginable, magnificent, wonderful, stupid, amazing worlds. Not just one world. Hundreds of them. Thousands maybe.” -Neil Gaiman

The bookmarks bar: My personal website, TypoC, Facebook, a website we're building for work the Citrus Engine, and an Amazon link to Foundations of Measurement vol. 1. The latter two are there to remind me to look at them; I'm making a game with Citrus and using Foundations as a source for my huge paper.

I have other bookmarks buried and available with a few keypresses.

I think what this says about me is that I'm a dork.

I only keep business and vacation related bookmarks. Inevitably someone "borrows" my computer and snoops. That's also why I don't stay signed in to anything like Type C.

How much do you think you can tell from this kind of thing though? I often hear things like "You are what you read." meaning (sort of) that you can tell a lot about a person by what their favorite books are or what they enjoy reading. Do you think the same thing is true about someone's favorite webpages?

I only keep email, bank, my personal business website and other work sites, and facebook on my bookmarks.

All the fun pages are in my head.

I suppose you could learn certain aspects of them.

I have bookmarks to my email stuff, libraries, Wikipedia and other similar sites, Radiolab, Wolfram Demonstration Project and some links that I always update depending on my interests of the moment (currently programming languages).

i don't use the drop down bookmarks.
just the bookmarks bar tool thing. i have two torrent sites. and a pinterest bookmarklet.

On the bookmark bar, I mostly just have the pinterest bookmarklet, and things I'm dealing with at the moment/in the immediate future (ebay items I'm bidding on, articles I'm referencing in my writing) etc. Clutter on my computer affects me in the same way that clutter in my physical space affects me. It makes me narky. For some sites that I go to regularly (like facebook, tumblr, news sites, youtube etc.) it's so easy to type the address in the address bar that I wouldn't use a bookmark anyway.
