Both of my parents are from Illinois and they're not tall. I'm 5' 8.5", which is about 2 inches shorter than the average American adult male, IIRC.
That's why I said "supposedly" regarding the Midwest...although your parents aren't necessarily the rule either. Last I heard, approx 5'9 was the male average, which seems about right, where I live anyway.

I'm 5'10" (178cm) and about 155lbs (70.5kg); two years ago I weighed 132 (drugs're bad, mmmkay?) but I've gained a lot of muscle since then. I am currently the strongest I've ever been and about 5 pounds heavier than I ever weighed for the first 25 years of my life. My frame is pretty small.
Yeah... I did lots of opiates and lost a lot of weight. I'm usually around 143ish when I don't work out, but in that phase of my life I was pretty damn small. I was 132 at the end of 2010 when I quit and have put on almost 25 pounds since then
I'm 5'6" and 167lbs, gives me a BMI of 27 and means I'm officially overweight! I'm not fat though - all those years I spent exercising have payed off. I do have trouble getting trousers that fit me, though. I don't think they make them in my body shape. Anything that fits my waist is too tight round the thighs. Skinny fit jeans are not a good idea. I tend to split trousers on a regular basis.
