    Ahh, this makes me so sad! I helped a turtle across the road once, because I saw that this was going to happen to it, otherwise. My spouse and I once saw a raccoon get run over right in front of us, and that was not pleasant at all.

    I think the biggest animal I've ever killed was probably a mouse. (I can't remember for sure if I've killed one but I think I've set mouse traps, so probably.)
    Masquerading as a normal person day after day is exhausting.

    Ran over a suicidal chipmunk one morning with my car, and mercy killed another one after our old cat tortured it half to death and left it by the porch with its organs beginning to come out of the wounds.


    ::edit:: Actually, it wasn't even MY cat.. was a stray that used to just hang out in my yard with me. I'd leave him out food, so perhaps he was returning the favor.
