My mom used to be a Monkees fan (like many young girls back then). She was pretty saddened by the news.

Same. she called & woke me from my evening slumbers. She had a crush on him back in the day.

There can’t be any large-scale revolution until there’s a personal revolution, on an individual level. It’s got to happen inside first.

    RIP

Watched the monkees show a ton growing up. My sister was more into Davy than Marsha Brady herself. One of the few musical interests we shared.

Someone said I was crazy when I mentioned their TV show.... I knew that they had their own show....why else the need for the Monkees theme song?

I was pretty shocked to hear he died of a heart attack. He wasn't really that old.
