Sure. It could be "information technology," "introverted thinker" temperament, or a pronoun referring to a singular item of undecided or irrelevant gender.

I've had a form of cafe since 2004, which doesn't make it ancient, but it has become comfortably familiar. Enough so that when I see a sign for a cafe, I have to remind myself that it isn't addressing me. It is easier to use it than to get used to a new handle and I am all about ease of use.
“There are two novels that can change a bookish fourteen-year old’s life: The Lord of the Rings and Atlas Shrugged. One is a childish fantasy that often engenders a lifelong obsession with its unbelievable heroes, leading to an emotionally stunted, socially crippled adulthood, unable to deal with the real world. The other, of course, involves orcs.”

I have been using the handle "Fortunato" since the Internet kicked in, for e-mail and account names and numerous things.

I used it at the time because I liked E.A. Poe, no one had the name, and I had seen it used twice in sci-fi books (Dream Park and the Aces series) and liked it.

Since then, I've seen some comparison between the character and the things I wrestle with personally, so it has taken on a bit deeper meaning.

To trace the remote in the immediate; the eternal in the ephemeral; the past in the present; the infinite in the finite; these are to me the springs of delight and beauty.” ~ H.P. Lovecraft

It's a nickname from my childhood, and since I don't like much change I tend to keep it the same.

It's easier to keep track of usernames/passwords on the internet when I don't constantly change them every time I register at a new site. I use the same username/password on all INTP Central offshoots for organization purposes. I also have other usernames I always use on other types of registration sites.

I'm not attached to the username, and in fact chose it on a whim the day I registered at INTP Central.

    It's FranG. <_<

And I'm keeping the same username I've used since I was 16. I can't help it if I'm an MBTI rockstar.
    Let's do this thing.

Why not? I guess using a different username here would seem kind of ...shady? I can't think of a better word. It'd probably be so obvious that I'm me that it would seem weird to try and build some completely different identity at a forum where a majority of the posters have at least heard of me from another place.

I guess I did miss a good opportunity to call myself 'Pickles' or 'NumNumYummyHead.'

I didn't keep the same name. Decided to go more generic.

I have a hat (pictured left). I have a beard. I have heard comments about bushrangers when wearing said hat in public.

I was Dunearhp, for what it's worth.
