I visited New York when I was like 12, but I don't remember much. I've been to SF relatively recently. I really like the vibe there, and the 'weather'. SF.

SF was disappointing because of that? What did you intend to do there that was stopped by their flagrant liberality?

Is there a reason for all this probing?

I've only been to both once or twice, but I'd take San Francisco in a second. Not that NY is awful for a big city (if I had to pick one on the East coast, I'd probably pick NY), but I'm much more a westerner by heart. And as far as weather goes, I'd take SF's 50's-60's all year over anything else -- even San Diego's warmer-but-not-hot climate.

If it weren't so expensive (and NY's even worse), I'd consider moving there, even given that I'd have to leave my job, sell the house, etc. Too bad it costs so much, and California's economy's struggling so badly.

California's congress right now is like a micro U.S. congress in terms of impedance (or has been wayyyy before the TP came along.) On one side, it is cuts cuts and only cuts... and on the other side, it is add a bit of tax. They've been stalling the whole damn issue because of it.

Right about now, I really wouldn't mind a super-majority.... because congress has been fighting the stupid California economy (for when Davis was Governor) while congress can't past anything related to the economy without someone, somewhere, blocking everything in its path.
