--> It can bring human awkwardness and timidity to what would otherwise be an interaction pretty devoid of affect, I think...

I kind preferred the old to this one... It looked a bit more sincere, I think.

Non-forum wise, I like ":/", because it looks skeptical or ambiguous without looking accusatory.

I like (-.-#) or (-.-') even though I don't use them often. They describe how I often feel...

I like because @Jennifer was so kind as to add it to the bunch.

I also like because it looks like a cute INTJ going Ni-crazy.

I liked a lot of smileys so much that i added the to the collection -- they were a newer style where the visual set was coherent, they often had funny/cool animation (kind of whimsical, with good timing), and a kind of flare in how they were drawn. IOW, I thought they showed some real talent, whereas there are a lot of smileys out there that are flat/boring.

And it is kind of funny to see what things they pull out of the poor guy during the airport body cavity search...

Excuse me, but does this smell like chloroform to you?

I liked it better, too. Mostly because it looked open-mouthed, to me, but wasn't as extreme as this one:

I also like because it's really, really cute -- and these two because they're great for expressing camaraderie, which I like to do! (But I dislike the hifive one, because of its size, and the way the hands are animated.)

This one is another of my favorites because if you slowed it down only slightly, it would be EXACTLY ME when I'm ranting about something. And this one is very, very useful for self-deprecation.
