In my experience, the Cavalier King Charles Spaniels are unbelievably sweet, no too bright and definitely lapdogs. I can dig them but expect to take time training.

I want a herding dog, solely for the purpose of herding TK.

I think whippets and greyhounds are also very elegant dogs, and make wonderful pets. There are so many adoption programs for greyhounds too. Too many of them have a pretty bleak future after their racing careers.

Agreed. They are great dogs. I adopted one years ago and loved him to pieces. I lost him to lymphoma a while ago but I still miss him very much.

People probably wouldn't think so, but they are incredibly lazy! Nicknamed, "World's Fastest Couch Potato".

I have a red merle Aussie now. Night and day difference between her and the greyhound.

    Favorite is standard poodle.

    Smile The Mongrel

I must admit I like mongrels.

My first mongrel we found in the street and he followed us home, and Mum said, no we couldn't keep him, so we hid him and fed him rump steak from the fridge. And eventually Mum relented and he became part of the family.

We like our politicians to have a bit of the mongrel in them, and perhaps I should have a little more mongrel in myself. In the meantime I am always friendly to any mongrel I meet on the street.
