Default How can I make myself look older?

Hey all. Here's a unique question.
    I'm a 28 year-old, and I don't look my age.
At least once a week someone tells me I don't look my age, and usually say I look 20 or 21.
When I was in South Korea and everyone looked younger than they were it wasn't a problem.
Now I'm back in the States and I'm teaching English to adults.
I think that looking older would help get more respect (as some students are not only from countries that restrict women's rights and power but they could be my father, or grandfather).
Unfortunately, there aren't many sites that give much advice on this or that are catered toward adult women.

    Any ideas?
How can I make myself look 28, or even 35?

I had a boss that, judging by the face alone, seemed to be around my age (early 20s), but since he was always wearing a suit, he gave off a 30 years or something vibe.
Perhaps you could use the feminine equivalent?

yep, clothes and makeup, and hair can all make you look older. in general, aiming for a business look rather than a clubbing/formal look or a casual look.

someone else can help more with specifics, since I also have the same issue, but haven't tried really to avoid it. Although I don't get carded (drinking age=19 here) as much now as I did in my early 20s, so maybe I've gotten old-looking, lol....

I would take the more makeup/more businesslike attire approach. Honestly though, I envy you.

I know, this kind of question is typcally a rarity.

Anyway, I agree on makeup, clothes, and jewelry choices to convey yourself as older.

I found since I cut my hair short I've stopped being carded, which is quite handy.

But maybe this strategy is dependent on the person (short hair could potentially make you look younger).

Thanks for the advice. I'll try the make up and dressing more business-y.
Lol, though I think I'll skip the chain smoking.
