It seems I hate detail (and using detail) when online but offline, I love it and use it often....it seems so contradictory but seriously...? And I also wonder....does anyone else have the same problem?
“There is a beast in man that should be exercised, not exorcised” – Anton Lavey
Offline there's hardly a conversation worth using details. Maybe even worse, there's hardly someone that wants to hear details. Unless it's a gossip.
A man builds. A parasite asks 'Where is my share?'
A man creates. A parasite says, 'What will the neighbors think?'
A man invents. A parasite says, 'Watch out, or you might tread on the toes of God... '
I feel I relate to "hating detail and use of it online but not offline," but don't know if what I'm relating to is what you're talking about.
Online, any situation where details could be a factor can be very open-ended, resulting in a zillion different things needing to be considered before you can be right about a conclusion. Offline, situations of the same variety (where details could be a factor) for some reason tend to just be a lot narrower in scope, meaning it's easy therefore painless to deal with details. That's the way I see it, and my explanation for my situation - again, not sure if this is your problem, too.
