Default Approaching 40. Will it hurt?

Okay, I'm two weeks away from my quadradectennial. I won't be a spring chicken like Fortunato anymore. What should I be expecting? Or am I the oldest fart here?

Isn't quadricentennial 400 years? You're not THAT old.

    Depends.

Silliness all around. I totally read it as quadricentennial.

I'm hoping to hold that off until my 80th or so.

    Your life will suck.

Put an end to your misery now, at the very least so that someone can abscond with Toonia and provide her with the life that an ancient decrepit such yourself will never be able to give her (let alone have the brain cells to remember her name)....

(ha ha you are two years older than me ha ha!)

To trace the remote in the immediate; the eternal in the ephemeral; the past in the present; the infinite in the finite; these are to me the springs of delight and beauty.” ~ H.P. Lovecraft

For something like this, I always think of what my dad would say, and he'd only laugh at the idea of 40 being 'old'.
