I don't sleep easily. Usually I MBTIc or chat till I'm brain-dead, then I put away the laptop, turn on a reading light, and read till I fall asleep with the book... wake up a while later to turn off the light, put away the book, and sleep for a couple more hours till the alarm rings for work... and I drag myself out of bed and swear to turn off MBTIc earlier the next day...

    Oh cool! I'd like that.

I tend to engage in what I call "active" dreaming prior to falling asleep. It is a pleasurable experience for me where I get to funnel my emotions and role play with people and ideas in simulated situations. I get a lot of abstract thinking done when lying in bed deeply engaged in dream thinking, lol.

Bleh, reality can be so boring!!!

usually pictures of random scenes pop into my head.(one including the animated soldiers like the ones from disney's hercules characters having butt sex with girl servants) Thoughts of just different things commenting all in different accents and pitches. And thinking about tommorow yesterday and sometimes right then. Though when I think about now I tend to go, Oh wow I was thinking about now guess what now I just thought about it, which then I'm thinking about the past. Random things I'll try to remember what I think about tonight. I did that last night actually, accept then I realize I wasn't cuz I was imaging being in the mountains. I also day dream right before sleep.

What do you think about before you go to sleep?
"I hope I didn't piss my wife off enough today for her to carry out that threat of maiming me in my sleep....."

Hey, I think I just figured out why my wife says I jump out of the bed in the middle of the night screaming every time she rolls over.

I think of some pleasant, relaxing daydream (or nightdream, as it were).

I think about the future... I envision everything falling into place... Comfort of the mind, body, and soul.

"Gawd, it's late, I need to go to bed earlier."

"I hope I don't sleep through my multiple alarms. Gawd, I need to wake up earlier."

I also tend to stay mentally wired regardless of physical cues, unless I am truly exhausted (and I like to exercise, avoid naps, and wake up earlier than necessary to tire me out). So I read, play with my Nintendo DS, MBTIc , flip through magazines, whatever will lull me into sleep.

It's really strange, when I am faced with the prospect of Going To Bed, I find I really fight it. But if I'm given the opportunity to laze on a comfy couch and doze off in the middle of the day, I do it quite naturally and wake up quite refreshed even if I haven't technically 'slept'.

And I also like Taize music.

I wish I could sleep til my alarm but my body knows when the alarm is to go off and wakes up just before. even if I have to wake up at 4 and didn't go to bed til 2 my body will wake up at 3:55 and it's annoying.
