    I go to bed at an average hour and wake up the same but I don't stay asleep. I will wake up about every half an hour to an hour and wonder aimlessly around the house and on occasion drive around. I will sit a watch my alarm clock hit the allotted time for me to wake up and turn it off right when it makes its first beep.

    2 when i awake due to the type of nightmare that would go on and on, if i would continue sleep (once every two months or so, max)

    4 when i awake due to low blood sugar (depending on food experiments, up to 3 times i a row, during switiching from moderate-low-carb to ketosis or back)

    8 when i am motivated to get up (7 out of 10 regular days)

    10 - 12 when lucid dreaming is more interesting than getting up (3 out of 10 regular days)

    16 - when life sucks bad ("dark night of the shit")

    7-8 regularly, more on weekends, thanks to Ambien!

    I'm pretty inconsistent overall. I eventually want to develop a bit more consistency; that way, I might need less sleep.

    Yeah same here I'd say on average 7-9 for me, I prefer at least 8 though.

    I use to get 10_12 plus a couple of 3_4 naps on,top of that
    In no likes experiment.

    I used to get 6-7 hours of crappy sleep,waking up for a few minutes all night. Always tired. Had a sleep study done,found out I have sleep apnea. (I don't snore at all) Use a CPAP machine and take 3 mg of Melatonin before bed,and get a wonderful 8 hours a night now. I'm useless if I get less than 6 hours a night.

    On good days, usually about 8-9 hours of sleep.

    On normal days, usually 6-7 hours.

    6-7 is what I get but not what I need. It is always a goal to sleep more, but being awake is MUCH MORE INTERESTING!!!!!!!
