    Default MBTI Twitter

So Twitter, basically the most useless of the social media platforms I've come across so far, but like a lemming I've jumped onto the bandwagon and now have two separate accounts. One for friends/fam/interests/etc. One strictly for art and the artists I follow.

So who uses Twitter, what do you think of it, do you think you can determine someone's 'type' from 146 character posts and what are the sorts of things each 'type' are more likely to tweet about?

my roommate made me a facebook account in 2003... I don't actually visit it except for whenever I want to make sure that my grandma hasn't messaged me or that my security settings are set to the highest level... I hate all of the hyper-connected social media stuff

Why I don't have a Twitter and why I don't plan on having one:
    - Considering how I use Facebook, having a Twitter would be redundant
    - I don't presume my life to be interesting enough to tell people about in that much detail
    - I have enough unproductive internet distractions as is (which is also one of the main reasons why I don't have a Tumblr)

    Dunno about type connections. :/

I'm really not too hot on "social networking" to begin with, especially twitter, which strikes me as really trivial. What can anyone possibly say in 140 characters that I'm going to want to read?

Granted, I'm saying this all without an especially informed opinion. I haven't tried it, either as someone who "tweets" or who "follows" anyone else. But as neither has absolutely any appeal for me whatsoever, it's likely to stay that way .

I guess I just don't like the "social media" phenomenon in general. I'm a pretty private person, and don't really like telling "the world" about anything. If I have something to tell someone, I'll tell *them* -- and not post that thought to a forum where they, and anyone else who wants to read it, can do so (yes, I see the hypocrisy of posting this on this forum, but very few folks here know me, and it's pretty anonymous, all things considered). I also like to focus, and would much rather talk to someone, get an email, etc. with a more complete description of activities/thoughts/etc. rather than an off-the-cuff stream of consciousness. Hence my apathy/dislike when it comes to things like Facebook and Twitter.

So I guess you can mark me down as a non-participant :p

I have a Twitter account. I look at my friends' feed sometimes. It's good for clicking on links, I guess. I don't post very often, though, cuz if I try to post something, I end up spending way too much time trying to edit it down to 140 characters. Also, I find it weird that people I don't know "follow" me, so I'm less inclined to post anything serious.

Twitter is kind of dumb overall. I like the twitters that are random, amusing, and creatively-packaged insights, though.

I used to run a twitter for my AI robot, but I can't imagine using it to post about the dumb little details of my day.
