    What gave it away?
Why do we always come here?

    I guess we'll never know.

It's like a kind of torture,
To have to watch this show.

No fair. I wanna be able to check 'writer/journalist'

Hell, considering I'm basically unemployed I'll just check 'artist' and put (aspiring) in parenthese in front.

You know you can declare your occupation as 'poet' on your tax forms? I think you even get a tax break for something...nah, that would be in commie land. Wait..no, because commies dont' like artists either.

Edit: For sec I thought this thread was under 'Sexuality and Mature Topics' and was titled, "What's your boob?" And I was gonna get all wth?? and then I reread it again. Oh.

BA in Film and Media Arts (with a Business Studies minor). I plan on being a sleazy movie producer and studio executive.

I'm teaching high school English: my first and final year of this brand of self-torture. I always thought teaching was wrong for me, but I (somewhat stupidly) believed everyone who said, "But you'd be such a WONDERFUL teacher! We NEED people like you in the classroom!" Dumb, dumb, dumb, dumb. I'm nowhere near extroverted enough to handle seven solid hours of managing noisy teenage crowds. What was I thinking?

I'm going back to school to get an MA in counseling.

I was thinking about going into this field but felt that there was little chance of advancement.

Think of all of the high school teachers you will have to counsel. Be careful...most of them are teetering on the edge.

I'm an Interior Designer. Not sure what category that falls under. I wouldn't consider myself to be an artist, since I assume that means "Fine Artist" and I feel that I'm more of a "Designer" (which is different in my eyes).

Anyhow, I'm not entirely happy doing this. I like the design aspect of it, but I'm not Extraverted enough for it to be a perfect fit. So if I could just be given a design to come up with, and be left alone in my office to put it all together, I'd be happy. So I'm not sure where I'm headed with all of this. Recently I helped a friend renovate a Victorian home and bring it back to it's 'roots' and I really enjoyed that so perhaps that's something to consider?

I think you'll be a fine counselor. But to be fair, I also think you'd be a fine teacher with time, and I do believe that we NEED people like you (and me) in the classroom. I didn't hit my stride well enough to like my job until year 3. And I'm still probably "too introverted" for the job, but I just go home at night and spend time by myself and it works out.
