Me neither, but I would not be concerned for my health (remember, the laser is powered by electricity, so it isn't like it will keep cutting)

Instead, I would be very annoyed. Depending on how long the power outage is, I would probably need another round of topical analgesic, which would increase my medical bill significantly.

I would, however, be concerned if a surgeon indicated that he would want to perform surgery via candlelight

Some procedures are performed in small offices. I would not count on a private clinic having a backup generator, heh.

Me too. Would you like it if a robot hugged you instead?

No, but if I found out that a lovely woman programmed a robot to hug me, I would feel very special

The point of surgery is to fix a problem..so whatever or whoever can fix the problem most effeciently.

It's not really relevant whether a robot or a human operates on me; so long as the most effieicent of the two can get the job done in the best manner.

An unemotional robotic surgeon, assuming technology has gotten to the level of human fine motor skills and if monitoring systems trigger alarms when vital signs fall below acceptable limits.

Emotions cloud judgment and cause errors in surgeons.
