Default Rewrite your childhood prayers here...

    To fit your current worldview.

(Topic stemmed from a conversation between an ESFP friend and myself- after coming out of a church outing last Easter- the way we wanted to recite things.)
    (example from the conversation.)

"I neither believe or disbelieve in God, the father almighty, who may or may not have created Earth-"

My prayers are the same as they have always been, my world view has not changed a great deal because the things which where true when I was a child have remained true as I have grown up and always will be long after I have been forgotten.

How did I know that you were going to be the first to respond to this? Religion thread first responder I guess.

I say a prayer or two now, but believe it or not, I thought it was pretty weird when I was a kid. Saying grace, prayer, and churches in general creeped me out. Go figure.

Now I lay my pony to sleep,
I pray the Lord its soul to keep,
If pony should die before I wake,
I pray the Lord both of our souls to take.
    Amen.

    i'll play.
the lords prayer. ( I said this prayer every weekday for years...)

Our collective consciousness which we may or may not have access to who art in a place that some understand as heaven, others moksha/nirvana, others spirit, and yet others believe doesn't exist in any way (in which we can perceive, at least),
    hallowed be thy understanding,
Thy kingdom come if that is what is meant to happen,
Thy will be done though not by us humans, because we inevitably screw it up,
on earth as it is in the place you may or may not exist in, if in fact you do exist, at least in the way we humans understand existence,
Give us this day our daily bread,
    and forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those who trespass against us,
and lead us not into temptation, or at least give us the ability to differentiate good temptation from bad temptation, for your existence itslef is a temptation, although an inherently good one
but deliver us from evil, or at least give us the ability to identify evil,
For thine is the kingdom, the word "kingdom" being mutually understood by all parties as not in any way implying a physical place, but not necessarily ruling that out either,
and the power, and the glory,
for ever and ever or at least until we humans die out as a species, or somehow manage to manipulate time such that the concept of "ever" is rendered obsolete within the human psyche, in which case, this clause can be ignored,
    Amen.
