I just noticed the drop down menu at the top.
I'm too indecisive to use it, however.

I usually enter threads using iSpy and my control panel, so I don't see the rating. If you click on The Bonfire sub-forum (or any other sub-forum) and look at the list of threads, you'll see the star ratings in plain view.

Just noticed a certain person's threads always has a 5 star rating. And the threads are rarely special...which means a 99% chance this person is autogiving 5 stars every time mwahaha

Yeah, I only just now noticed this feature. Which is why I created a thread about it. Because it seems kind of pointless to me and I wanted to see if others felt the same way.

Maybe they were both motivated to rate it as mediocre.

Most threads I don't bother to rate. Occassionally, I'll rate a thread I find particularly interesting or useful 5 stars or a thread that's obviously just there for trolling purposes 1 star.

Like Rasofy, I'll see threads that I think unfairly got a 1 star rating, and I'll rate it higher to bring the average up. I think the star rating system can be abused- someone could rate a thread high or low just because they like or dislike the person and someone can rate their own threads as well. There's no way to tell with an overall rating, how many ratings were given and what their rationale was. So I don't place too much stock in star ratings. Still sucks to have your own thread rated 1 star though.

When I'm not being entertained, I am either going to bitch about it in a post, or by rating.
