ENTPs generally aren't brutally honest. they're charming Ti-Fe honest.
I think you are on to something. But the I/E factor is very relevant. Imo, ENFP>INTP>INFP>ENTP would me more precise. But it is hard to quantify it, since we can look at it in terms of potential and in terms of normal behavior. Blah, I give up.

yes, that makes sense. ENTPs are usually not direct at all. INFPs aren't brutally honest because they're too damn sensitive

I wonder if it has to do with how much active Ti or Fi someone has. Seems to me like those three functions, when in high ranks, are the most likely to be blunt with someone when they feel the person needs someone to tell them something bluntly -- because they care so much about exactitude. e.g. my INTP dad, my ENFP friend and my xSTJ friends all find it very difficult to not correct someone when they're making an ignorant statement.

I dunno, I'm thinking out loud too.

I think Fi has a lot of brutality potential, but it usually remains inert. Ti worries so much about consistency that if unbalanced people's feelings are not weighted. Something like that.

I am more brutally honest than my mother. My Ti scares her Fi and Te off. We should incorporate direct and informing in the mix. HAH

NFPs aren't brutally honest. If brutally honest is a sporting event, they're not even in the parking lot.

    I would say:
    TJs
    TPs.
    NFJs
    NFPs
    SFPs
    SFJs

    Considering directing/informing.

Most of the NFP bluntness I have seen is on the forum. IRL, in some ways, they seem more tactful than the NFJs I have seen because of the directing vs. informing difference.
