A man builds. A parasite asks 'Where is my share?'
A man creates. A parasite says, 'What will the neighbors think?'
A man invents. A parasite says, 'Watch out, or you might tread on the toes of God... '
Are we really that hard to communicate with? What are your concerns when doing so? (Remember this thread title.)
I'm not exactly the best emotion reader, especially online... So, when someone is very direct and dry, but in a sophisticated manner, it's kind of hard to tell when they're just going "sure, why not"/being sarcastic/humoring me or when they're being earnest about their compliments, concerns, etc.

Maybe I just don't see you posting in the same threads he sees you posting in.

Exceptions are the INTJs who have been openly friendly to me -- but most others have been pretty neutrally straightforward, and usually have neutrally straightforward/emotionless avatars, so I get all confused and usually end up just talking to them with pure Te and hoping no bridges burn in the process
A-yup. Especially the bolded.
I generally like @Nicodemus, for instance, but I never quite know whether he sees his own sage advice (Thanks again, Nico! ) as considerate counseling or as spirited troubleshooting. He's a man of many mysteries. (I thought he was, indeed, from North Korea for some time. )
Is it sick and twisted that I like to keep all the people who've asked me to be friends, and whom I've decided not to accept as such, in my User CP, unanswered to, piling up like dead bodies crashed on the shores of "I don't care about you"?
It's a little bit sadistic, yeah. Not sick and twisted, but unnecessarily sadistic.

I hope you're right. :/ I worry about it sometimes. I'll just call it irrational worry and try to ignore it.
Thanks Lady X

I would help out and lend my Si to the cause, but I haven't seen any of the behavior that Zarathustra describes...

SO TRUE. I keep telling people that I'm not a nerd anymore and I don't play 2+ hours of video games per day anymore, but I still remember absolutely everything about those games. I have cutscenes from Final Fantasy X memorized. I also have the lyrics to every song from the first 3 Linkin Park albums memorized, even though I don't listen to them much anymore.
