Have the discussions gone from the theoretical towards more personal? It doesn't seem that way to me. Could it be because of the growth in number of users?

I used to muse on the relationship between prevalence of the more overt "hate" or combative, shall we say, threads/style of posting and the more passive aggressive topics/posts to see if they influenced the forum vibe at any given time. I can't say I came to any helpful insight. But moderation matters, too, a great deal. What is reportable, what is permissible, what is punishable, and what warrants deletion, along with the understanding of those things by the members shift the tone of the forum, likely more than the overt/passive aggression moon phases.

He was truly the Ed Wood of the forum.
I don't think he shaved his legs nearly as much as Ed Wood did.

Now I'm wondering if we need to protect trolls, as they are becoming an endangered species.

If they vanish from the ecosystem, our children will never have the experience of dealing with them or understand what life used to be like on this forum. It's just a matter of determining how many we should save in captivity.

Also, society typically runs off other concerns and while growing up INTPs are often poked and prodded and jammed into the social structure against their will. There can be a fear and resentment there of being controlled in such a fashion, with no way out since one is under the authority of those with different concerns; and having to watch the world consistently run in patterns that seem highly irrational and shallow, and finding few people to connect with.

There can be intense feelings of alientation, loneliness, and frustration with life. Some just get bitter.
Ah, there's the connection! I always wondered why I tend to like them so much.

FINALLY @JAVO is banned! I have been waiting for this glorious day since I first joined this cult back in March.

Now my squid invasion can go off without a hitch!
