    Ale came from the Americas? Well, porter/Guinness is Irish, I know that, whatever the Nigerians say. They used to brew that variety here too but the people went soft.

    Where I come from, Irish potatoes are a candy popular around St. Patrick's Day. They're little balls of a vanilla and coconut mixture rolled in cinnamon so they look just like little potatoes about the size of a gumball.

    It's a different cut of bacon. Don't know why it's called Canadian bacon to be honest.

    Canadian bacon is just another term for back bacon. I think some places it's also a catchall name for a cheap nonspecific ham product, like what comes on Egg McMuffins.
