I feel that my type captures me pretty well, for better or for worse. While I know I have flaws I'm pretty satisfied with what I'm working with overall. It would be impossible for me to like myself, and dislike what I feel to be a fairly accurate description. So yeah, happy feelings all around is my point, I guess.

I like my type very much. I can't imagine being any other type, but then this is all I have ever been. I hope I would like my type, whatever it turned out to be. That just seems part of being reasonably well-adjusted.
I've been called a criminal, a terrorist, and a threat to the known universe. But everything you were told is a lie. The truth is, they've taken our freedom, our home, and our future. The time has come for all humanity to take a stand...

I don't really care enough to like or dislike my 'type', but I don't particularly care for the way some people think of and disregard INTPs as idiot savants, a group of semi-autistic nerds. At the same time I wouldn't totally dismiss that assessment: some INTPs rub me that way too.

It's what it is and doesn't define me as a person so why I should I like it or dislike it? Although I probably have taken the Fe hate way too personally. Hah!

It's taken quite some time to accept it, but I do enjoy it mainly because now I can leave it and move on to something else.

Ehh, I've been doing a little enneagram shopping, and it looks like I may be 8w9. It's a horrible combo with being ENFP. It leads me to start new things and take on challenges, but I'm terrible in seeing them through. I can't say I can imagine being anything else.

My question here is: is it possible to not like your type?

    As long as you...
    -are correctly typed
-aren't taking the haters to heart
    -aren't buying into ridiculous stereotypes
-aren't in a severly unhealthy mind state

...then I'm having a very hard time fathoming that you could see your own type as more negative than positive. With enneagram this might be a little more ambiguous, but with MBTI, any serious and consistent negativity towards the tendencies of your own type raises some big red flags to me.

My own unfiltered reaction towards my type: It's awesome, I never want to leave it again (unless something radically changes my perspective again, of course), and with these powers of my flavor of my take on the world I shall revolutionize the universe! Muahahahahaa

With bias-filter: It is how it is, you know...

Thoughts towards my enneatype: Cool in more of a helpful way

+1000000. I have a feeling though that the forum (along with the other personality forums) sometimes seems to subconsciously overemphasize our type roles. lol

That made me laugh out loud. A great testimony to the occasional uselessness of the MBTI.

It's okay, I guess. I sometimes get tired of being stereotyped but it's not such a big deal that I want to argue about it. Besides, it's all too easy to see kernels of truth in them. I will say it's hard being an NT woman but it is what it is.
