Well, if you want to get to the "nitty-gritty", you can always hang around the "What's My Type?" and "Popular Culture and Type" subforums.

For me it seems a logical first step before you can go onto typing other people. Thoughts?
The issue was central for a long time, it's just not in a lot of threads lately.

    Gotcha thanks.

I agree about that thread being the most "passive aggressive of all time". Classic.

It doesn't look like it helped much

Often, you'll find that people don't much like other people informing them that they are wrong about their type, and therefore wrong in their perception of themselves.

Well, also, it's awkward trying to type each other, given our limited knowledge of one another just based in internet interaction. You have someone 30 years old, they've known themselves and their habits and how they grow 1,000 times better than some internet stranger will ever guess.

That's the major part of it, I'll admit.

But then there's plenty of people who will get their panties in a twist over the simple fact that someone just contradicted their self-image.

Which, of course, is only possible when you think of yourself as a token of a personality type rather than the person that has the qualities that the person that you are has.

Being that this is a typology forum after all, there's no real shortage of people who think that way.
