Default How do you attract women as friends?

I have found that I am immensely popular with guys, but that women find me sort of vanilla. Women act like they think I am generally nice or pleasant to be around, but they never seem to want to become closer friends.

Meanwhile, I get no end of guys who just seem to love me and think I'm amazing. This would work great if I were single, but I am married and it doesn't really work for me to have a lot of guy friends and no women friends. I really try to tone down the flirting thing, so I don't think I'm being that flirty with guys, just friendly.

Part of it might be that I'm a little tense around women and relaxed around guys.

So as an INFJ female, any advice on how to make more women friends and fewer guy friends?

I honestly have the impression that INFJs either have great success in the relationship/attracting the opposite sex area, but not so much friend success (with either gender); or very good friends, but little success in the relationship area. There really don't seem to be many who have both!

    Ask about their emotions, mostly.

I have much the same problem save it is the reverse - I tend to attract a fair amount of female friends and not alot of male ones. Partially I think this is a matter of choice on my part - apart from my orientation, I like women. Unfortunatly my approach to meeting females on a platonic level - treat them like people and don't hit on them - is not likely to be all that useful for you.

    I've never had this problem.

The only thing I can think of is that perhaps you are coming across as cold or stiff.

Why do you think this is the case? It might partly explain the issue.
