my first colleagues (+5), second colleagues (+10), people at the cafe house (+5), random people i know that i see at my work place (+5), housemates (+5), eventually friends in case i go out and maybe some interactions on the street, so 30-35? maybe less. seriously, i wish it was more. but i wonder, so many people talk with less than 10 people a day? is that possible? ARE YOU SURE??? I'd be MISERABLE if that was the case!

i prefer quality over quantity. i really don't think you're getting to a deep enough level of conversation with over 90 people in one day to understand them.

I put down 11-20. There are like 5 or 6 people at work that I end up talking with.. just about stuff, sometimes group conversations, sometimes I drop by just to see what's up. Then there are a few people outside of that where I, uhh.. actually have work related stuff to deal with. Then in my off work hours, I will have short interactions with anybody who wants to, might be a cashier or a teller. Then I'll see what's going on with neighbors I know if I see them, or I'll have a weekly book club meeting, or other meeting. I'm not a random stranger conversation starter, but I'll drop remarks, and I'm glad to keep it going if somebody picks up on it.

Including work people, for work purposes, probably 10-15. This also includes the barista at Starbucks and the cashier if I go to lunch or to the store.

Including "personal" conversations only, 1-3 people on a typical day.
Masquerading as a normal person day after day is exhausting.

Not a lot at all but i am unemployed at the moment.

Today i spoke to 2 people on the phone, 2 people outside and my 2 children.

I talk to myself all the time. Does that count?

Tomorrow will be more as i am going to get legal advice and probably in true fashion, i'm going to have to explain my situation to 4 people before i see the right person to deal with my query (got to love the UK for that). Then i'm out for a meal in the evening with friends.

Nah, shut-ins hardly get the opportunity to snatch victims. Serial killing, like many careers, demands good social skills.

errr...maybe so for Ted Bundy but not so for Ed Gein...he was quite the loner and was socially awkward, but people did consider him nice and trustworthy and harmless.

Serial killers blend into the background with bland normality, but that doesn't mean they're all socially charismatic.
