    It does sound like homework.. Of course I never did any homework unless we had to hand it up, so..

    The book would kind of fail if it didn't encourage you produce a journal, so I guess that point had to be included. I think in terms of 'recording your findings', you have to do it in such a way that you find fun and can keep up as a regular habit (otherwise, why bother?).
