Like 6 months ago, I was playing pokemon blue/red on the emulator and managed to catch 147/151 pokemons. The plan was catching all the 151 but I got bored and didn't want to play it all again just to catch another Eeve and Hitmonlee. Imo pokemon was ruined after more pokemons were added to the initial 151.

Oh, so that's the term. Did a quick research and looks like it was banned in US, is that right? Considered a form of gambling lol

People thinking they are more interesting than they really appear to be is something that annoys me.

I hope I wasn't offensive or anything, I didn't mean for that. I just think the term is unnecessary.

Hm. Are you sure you're not misinterpreting them?

I know people who were ashamed or embarrassed of having been a nerd in high school, so much so that they were still emotionally scarred by it more than 10 yrs later. I think embracing nerdiness is a way of accepting oneself instead of being ashamed of who they are. A group nerd confession is a way of bonding with others who share similar interests, knowing that most "normal" people would shun them for it.

I'd really like to see a person who is not a nerd according to this thread's standards.

    They exist outside the internet.

I think I have met one.

She had never used a computer in her life, and wasn't educated past the age of 12. Quite disconnected from pop culture as well.

I'm not nearly as nerdy as some folks on here, but that's just because I tried really hard to not be a nerd through most of my youth.

    Despite that...

-odyssey of the mind in jr. High.
-Internet club in jr. High (yes, that's right kids there was a time when the Internet counted as a special interest only a few held)
    -policy debate team in college
-I have a thing for older RPGs like dragon warrior and chrono trigger
Take the weakest thing in you
And then beat the bastards with it
And always hold on when you get love
So you can let go when you give it

No. They are everywhere. You just don't come across them, probably because you also work with/ go to school with nerds. Go to the grocery store, you'll find some non-nerds working there. Or go to a sporting event or a bar. Mostly non-nerds there, too.
