Hey, no sense complaining about being bored, do something about it! Boredom is often a sign you are too inwardly focussed anyway, so real world stuff is what gets you out of that space!
Then, hang out in here, tell us all about it!
A few weeks ago I went to this great workshop on how to make a traditional Adobe brick oven for baking bread.
Here it is at about 30% completion:
During the curing of the oven, a daily fire is burned every day over the period of a week, and these cedar boughs are fully burnt out.
And 90% completion:
It was about 8 pm ... we couldn't fully finish the top. So the oven was covered in order to prevent it from drying out overnight. The whole thing is parged after all bricks are set.
We made all the bricks by hand with clay, earth and straw. Who knew straw could make a brick ... as hard as a brick! By the end of the day, my hands had never been so tired and sore, but my skin was so soft from all the clay and dirt.
You can be controversial in here too if you like. Protest how the traditional Adobe brick oven is taking jobs away from pizza oven manufacturers or something. How the Adobe brick oven comeback will jeopardize all baker's jobs everywhere!
Then, we'll get something cooking in here ...
