    *days without a single post*

    options when posting:

    - bitchy comment to someone who has it coming... generally short and concise

    - thread in which I'm neurotic about something related to years of living wildly

    - posts advocating living wildly

generally these posts contain very few capital letters or complete sentences... they DO contain a healthy dose of profanity and emoticons

    - Random comment that cracks me up (& possibly only me), tenuously related to random comment in previous post

    - Summary analysis

    - Something to show empathy in case I offended anyone

    - Whatever fav smilies I can make relevant to the post

Agreed. Plus, quoting is good and expanding on a point both gives one the opportunity to branch off, relate, modify and otherwise jump off into a rambling post.

Speaking of rambling posts, I feel that my posts are long and rambling… but not to say they are ALL long and rambling. I read a study about rambling posts here. I find that rambling posts related to my life in X, Y and Z way.

You know what else helps a long, rambling post? One of these:

    A Heading

A heading always helps a post (much like a link especially when combined with parentheses) by implying some kind of structure to a series of long multi-clauses sentences. I fell they are perfectly capable of implying some kind of structure—even when there is none to be found!

    Me

By the way, I'm gay. And a programmer. And an INFP. I'm a gay INFP programmer. With a straight identical twin brother. This has nothing to do with my topic, but I can't help drop that information in somewhere. Or other information about me.

    Third Heading

Plus, having just two headings seems somehow unbalanced. Therefore a third is needed, even when it isn't. Did I mention rambling post?

EDIT: edits (perhaps multiple) to correct spelling and or grammar... perhaps creating more errors to correct.

Wall of text in bloggish fashion in which Carl Jung gets quoted a lot.

I use bullet points in the same way. They are sometimes very arbitrary, giving the impression the info is organized when I just divide it up & stick a symbol in front of every paragraph to avoid the more easily ignored wall of text.
Often a star was waiting for you to notice it. A wave rolled toward you out of the distant past, or as you walked under an open window, a violin yielded itself to your hearing. All this was mission. But could you accomplish it? (Rilke)

    These are great!

    Let's see if I'm inspired...

    An Average EJCC Post:
    - Awkward attempts at Fe sympathy
    - Similar anecdote from my life, which has been much shorter and less dramatic than yours, and therefore the anecdote is depressingly irrelevant ("Oh yeah, of COURSE that test I failed is similar to your dad dying! Really!")
    - That anecdote and your post could have roots in our types but I don't know enough about it so I'm gonna leave it up in the air because I don't want to start a fight with my accidental Te honesty!
    - Uncertain finish, second-guessing everything I just posted and hiding my Te for dear life! Does this grin make me look ENFJ to you? If so, I'm doing it right!

But sometimes I'll slip, and post like this:
    - I've been lurking and watching your posts for a while now, and only now that I'm pissed enough do I have the balls to just say it, consequences be damned. So here it is --
    - (insert very matter-of-fact, cold, and emoticon-less paragraph here) --
    - I'm being hurtful because I care. I hope to God it improves your bad behavior. Now, I'm going to keep lurking, and DON'T MAKE ME COME OVER THERE AGAIN!
