Back on topic: according to the poll eight people are WRONG!

And Orangey is quite obviously some sort of genius.

Not going to vote since the last option is my choice, sans "shutting whore mouth"!

Organised crime movies are a genre I enjoy and the Godfather movies were no exception. Most recent organised crime movie enjoyed was American Gangster with Denzel Washington and Russell Crowe.

The films are okay and its good acting. But it might be getting more acclaim than needed.
    Yeah, exactly.

    I joined you.

I tried a couple of times to watch the first Godfather movie. I only watched about 30 minutes of it. I got too bored.

I enjoyed Godfather, even the last one was okay. The transition of Michael from idealistic to what he became was really interesting. I really like the end scene in 2 when he is sitting on the veranda.

The thing about this sort of film is it is very easy to do it badly. The fact that they were good shows you the skill of those involved. Still there is always someone who complains about being too true/false to the story.

I agree. Godafather is horribly boring. Damn! Marlon Brando was awesome in ASND, but how is it entertaining to see that boring slow-moving old man mumbling his directives? Every male characters in that movie are either old, boring and ruminant, like Brando, either young, effeminate and whining, like Pacino. It's probably a realistic portrait of the crime syndicate, but is'nt entertaining to watch.

As a general rules, everything about mafia is boring, I endured 45 minutes of The Godfather and gave up, same for Casino, Soprano, or all theses shits.

I haven't seen them.. it's not the type of film I seek out. But I have 'ended up' watching mafia style flicks and enjoyed 'em. Maybe someday I'll try.
