    I'm not a very unusual guy, but let's try this. I've:

    - drunk coffee thinking it was Coke;
    - helped save fish from a drying stream;
    - done a photo project with pictures I took in a graveyard;
    - built a makeshift tent in my own bedroom;
    - been praised by a famous local writer ;
    - spent a whole museum trip without noticing my shoes were on the wrong feet.

    Went to a backstage Depeche Mode party.
    Had children's books published.
    Charged around Cairo with Yemenis and had a firecracker chucked under our feet.
    Spent a lot of time in Finland.
    Been above the Arctic Circle.
    Been to communist Russia (1985). Woohoo, the last three make me sound like a spy!! When in Russia, I saw bears playing ice hockey. I was 5 or 6, so it was all pretty amazing!
    Met Sting (ok, only for about 30 seconds, but still ).
    Skipped grade 3 (so did my brother, who is four years older...weird.)
    Went night swimming in Perth, Australia.
    Been to Okinawa, Japan.
    Visited locations in New Zealand from the Lord of the Rings films.
    Seen Jude Law, Jeremy Irons, Orlando Bloom, Ian McKellen, Patrick Stewart, Sean Bean, and Derek Jacobi perform live on stage (not all together, haha - except McKellen and Stewart in Waiting for Godot!).
    Had articles published in a Sherlock Holmes journal. I wrote the first one when I was 14, I think.
    Had a short story about King Arthur published.
    Completed grade 9 Piano in the Royal Toronto Conservatory exams.
    Been up Mt Snowdon in Wales by the Watkin Path, the most difficult route up, with two random Israeli guys.
    Always lived on islands, although very large ones.
    Been to parties at Soho House and Shoreditch House in London.
    Been to gold medal world championship hockey games in Switzerland and Germany. At the one in Germany (Czech-Russia), a drunk Russian fell on me.
    Felt threatened by glue-sniffing kids in Bucharest, Romania (I actually loved Bucharest, somewhat to my surprise, but that was kind of sad and a bit scary.)
    Went to junior high and high school with Nelly Furtado, as well as Steve Bays, the lead singer of Hot Hot Heat.
    Almost had my thumb bitten off by an evil horse (although I love horses and continued riding after that).
    Worked in most industries related to books: writing, bookshop, library, publishing, literature-related education.

    ------------------------------
    Wow, I should remind myself of these sorts of things when I question whether my life has been interesting. Actually, I don't really question that much - I have more questions about how I'm doing on the fundamentals of life, because all this type of stuff is mainly just the very entertaining gravy.

    Also, with all this, I definitely sound like some kind of ExxP...that's pretty funny. My brother, who's a probable ISTJ, would have a similar list, though different in details. And my IxxJ parents too, really...They have also travelled a lot, my mum has met the Queen and Princess Diana and chatted with Prince Charles, and my dad played chess with Bobby Fischer. Experience-seeking IxxJs

    Sorry, I'm sure I'm boasting here. I guess I'm allowing myself for a change. I kind of realised in the middle of this exercise how many cool experiences I've had. Not that many people know about everything on this list, though - mainly my family and maybe a tiny number of close friends, though a lot of people would know some of it. Hm, there might even be one or two my parents and/or brother don't know about.

    I've done both of these.

    I'm terribly absent minded that way.

    I've also gone a whole day wearing mismatched shoes and forgetting to tag the tag off of a new shirt.

    I've done the bolded. Okay the first was more of a locally famous author, but still.

    I've never been to prom but I've done alot of things solo that other people wouldn't consider like go to the movies, the theater, eaten out in a restaurant, and even taken short vacations.

    Both were from a few years back... The coffee was in a Coke plastic bottle, so... yeah. This happened twice, and twice I puked.

    I walked the entire Natural History Museum with my folks, and it took me a long time to figure out why my feet were so sore - I simply thought it was from walking for hours.

    I also have...

    - taken keyboard lessons for a while (and then kind of forgot how to play the damn thing );
    - fallen into a pool, clothes and all (possibly more than once);
    - dropped a book into a swimming pool by accident ;
    - stayed up during a whole night because of annoying mosquitos.

    • Have played with mentos and coke.
    • As a kid, really enjoyed making copper sulfate crystals.
    • Bunsen burners FTW! (not going to explain so don't ask.)

    Its interesting how the top part of your list seems to lead into the middle portion.
