The thought of space itself does scare me.. I never wanted to be an Astronaut, that's for sure. While I do enjoy some sci-fi things, none of them are books. (Star wars, Outlaw Star, Starcraft 2... Star the Starling*, etc.) I don't know if I want to escape into a world that involves machines and a lack of trees, so I tend to shy away from the books.

Oh I love how the NTJs have decided to gang up on me publicly to condescendingly tell me that I'm overreacting.

I'm not sure how many NTs I can put on my ignore list until it becomes pointless for me to even be on this site anymore.

Don't do this, Marm. Life's too short.

I'm sorry if I hurt your feelings. There was no malicious intent.

Yeah, make sure you throw some condescension into your "apology" and make sure you put it in the thread instead of repping me or something.

No worries, you're on ignore. You, specifically, you.

I am the objective observer telling you the truth. I have no reason to lie.

INTJs sometimes think they're being objective when they are not.

I'll still read your posts though because I know that you generally have no ill intent, and you're actually a pretty mild and amusing individual.

This is not what I wanted this thread to be about.

Yeah you really handled this in a very mature and stoic way yourself. You're so impartial and objective. Right.

I never disliked sci fi. As long as a plot is reasonably character driven, I'll likely appreciate it.

I don't hate the sci-fi genre per-say; I'm generally willing to give things related to it a fair viewing before I make a decision. I like the adventure aspects of sci-fi, as well as the speculation of future civilizations and technology, but in general I just loathe most derivatives of the action-oriented genre. Whether it's bows & arrows, spears, muskets, laser beams/light sabers, or over-sized rocks, it's all boils down to the same thing of two groups waging in some pointless war for conquest, and being that I'm very much into plot/character driven works, action just doesn't hold my attention for very long.
