Yup, love science fiction. People who hate it don't really understand what it is about. And, they probably won't ever take the time to find out. That goes for about most things that people choose to hate.

Oh yeah, can I be your adjutant, I have already made some changes to the rules:

    1. Whatever goes on two legs is an enemy.
    2. Whatever goes on four legs, or has wings, is a friend.
    3. No animal shall wear clothes.
    4. No animal shall sleep in a bed. No animal shall sleep in a bed with sheets
    5. No animal shall drink alcohol. No animal shall drink alcohol to excess
    6. No animal shall kill any other animal. No animal shall kill any other animal without cause.
    7. All animals are equal. All animals are equal, but some animals are more equal than others.

I don't hate it but I find it to be rather boring. Does Star Wars count?

    It's too bad. I love sci-fi. I love space.

Ever since I was a child, I was fascinated at the sky, the stars, and how endless it seemed to be. How cool it would be being able to fly across the universe. How there could be other lifeforms in a distant galaxy. How it is possible for us to create large space colonies and how we can look at earth from above.

It would have been even better if where I lived didn't have that much light pollution.

    Like this place.

"Hatred" seems like a bit of a strong word... Why not simply "dislike"?

That said, I'm not much of a sci-fi fan, but, then again, I haven't "settled" for a genre as of now, despite my love of detective novels during my high school years.

there are exceptions, but i mostly just find it boring and cheesy. my istj stepdad sits on his ass in front of the tv all day watching the scifi channel and it's all just horribly acted with bad special effects and corny plots.

    science fiction is FUCKING AWESOME.

    just watch Gattaca or Moon.

Not to mention the fucking Matrix.

    or Equilibrium.

    I even liked Aeon flux.

However I haven't read any SF literature and I do not intend to.

I like a lot of sci-fi, but usually not of the written kind. Most of that stuff sucks balls, like most any genre.

I love sci-fi. I don't think this would be apparent when considering everything else I surround myself with...but I love it.
