When I close my eyes, I see this thing, a sign, I see this name in bright blue neon lights with a purple outline. And this name is so bright and so sharp that the sign - it just blows up because the name is so powerful... It says, "Jaguar."
I'd suggest developing your own style over copying other people.
Some people aim low and just antagonise briefly, others set up elaborate plans and systems that only troll over the long-term, and there's all the in-between.
My favoured style, if you want to copy, is to set up a persona that looks like you are letting certain people in to when you are trolling, and when you are being genuine. So it's a mix of stuff that looks like typical trolling, and stuff that looks like typical non-trolling. What it usually does is make those people become secure in their belief that they know when you are trolling and when you aren't, and think they have access to the real you. A good way to anchor this in their minds is to link yourself to certain information, such as a location, accent or pictures, that makes them really think the "non-trolling" side is genuine, and to make sure you don't come off as particularly intelligent. Make mistakes in front of them, do anything that makes them think they understand you, think they can predict you, and look down on you. All those things lower their defences. It's also important to find some balance between a persona distant from the real you, so your actual personality never seeps in and your real weaknesses aren't put on show, but one not so distant you have trouble playing the part regularly.
^That style essentially grants the same trolling potential you get on really polite and mature forums where earning trust is easy, but practically everywhere that isn't used to near constant trolling of all kinds. Not one to do if you don't enjoy acting though, or if you can't maintain a consistent fake persona.
