Yeah, I do see some value in having a few "reframing/guidance" maxims to keep in front of me, so that I stay the course. Otherwise it's easy to wander off and then wonder why I'm unhappy and frustrated.

If you're finally happy with where you are in life then how can you possibly have regrets?

I mean if I changed just one thing that I regret, then I wouldn't be here now, so as much as it frustrates me that certain things have taken place, and as much as I like to entertain the 'if only's or what if's' I can't.

Cause changing just one thing means that I wouldn't be the person I am today, and today isn't half bad

Going against my intuition and letting someone else gain my trust when I hadn't trusted them in the first place.

    Me too.

Although in my case I think it might be more accurate to say "Trusting a particular person in the first place."

Actually in retrospect I wish I'd never even met that person in the first place.

I think the only regret I'd have at this point in my life is that I didn't know the things I know now some 10-15 years ago. I could have made better choices overall. But I'm still going to make loads of mistakes to regret in the future as well, so I try not to dwell on the past too much.

I have quite a lot. I'd like to repaint things in positive way, and reparent my inner child. I'd love to go back and reparent myself from the beginning.

1.) I resigned an appointment to the U.S. Coast Guard Academy at 18

2.) Rejecting all my civilian scholarships in favor of a military one at 18.

3.) Not learning anything about credit or finance in high school. My parents were closed lipped about such things.

Other things are numerous and perhaps deeper, for which I've had lots of therapy. I've done quite a lot of things which I definitely cannnot share on a forum, thanks.

I don't know what I would say. There's lots of things I'd do over differently, but I'd do them differently only because I learned from them. So if I'd never done them at all, maybe it would be my regret that I didn't do them in the first place!

And nothing really major that I can think of, that would be realistic for me to have achieved under the circumstances. I did the best I could manage at the time.

I guess the biggest one would be staying too long in a dead relationship. But it wasn't really until I was out of it that I knew how dead it actually was. So I don't know if I really regret it all that much.

And lots of "foot in mouth" moments of course, but I'm sure there are more of those in my future so I don't know if I can call those "regrets", lol. The worst one was a lame crack to someone with a history I was unaware of. She didn't say anything but I felt horrible when I found out and I have avoided joking about things like that ever since. It wasn't even funny, just making small talk more than anything.

TC does not stand for Typology Central, it stands for Time Consumer.
