I wouldn't mind telling family members about it if they asked, but otherwise wouldn't bring it up unless they asked.

Cafe and Jen: Did your husbands join before or after you? If after you, did them joining modify your posting behavior?

I wouldn't tell my family or friends to join as a general rule, just because it's my thing and I feel like I get to be honest without real consequences. Here, I get to know people based upon their posts and opinions. I wouldn't want someone following me around trying to figure me out. There are some friends I wouldn't mind joining, though.

I did invite an INFJ friend that I know online, since she really feels like she's alone in the world--she doesn't know anyone that shares her idealistic view of love and the world. She said she'd join, but I don't think she has.

Not mine outside of occasionally putting things in my blog because I know he reads it and I've noticed that sometimes things sink in better with him when he reads them than when I say them and my blog is less direct than, say, writing him a note.
“There are two novels that can change a bookish fourteen-year old’s life: The Lord of the Rings and Atlas Shrugged. One is a childish fantasy that often engenders a lifelong obsession with its unbelievable heroes, leading to an emotionally stunted, socially crippled adulthood, unable to deal with the real world. The other, of course, involves orcs.”

I have friends here, but I met them here and I have only even talked to one of them outside of here. I would not invite my friends and family here, not because I don't like the site, but because this is my place to be me and I'm more open about a lot of things here than I am IRL.

I've my twin here. I lured her here after 3 months here.

Sometimes we talk about folks here like they're real too, and it stymies our folks during dinner when we go, "hey! You know, whatever said xxx, and Seanan said YYY, I hope Pink is ok..."

Other folks, no. An ISFJ wanted to join when he found out I was so into this site, but I told him please don't, I need my personal space.

    I hope he isn't lurking.

Ha! I can see it now. My wife's blog would be along the lines of: "If my husband doesn't stop collecting routers and other equipment, I will stack it on top of him in his sleep so that he is crushed by it's weight".
