That doesn't really make any sense. You're assuming they know about MBTI but suck so badly at it they can't properly type you regardless?

My parents are typing me as asocial, possibly gay, stubborn, lazy, insane and probably homicidal too considering they don't confront me on it.

If they knew about MBTI they'd type me as INTP, because that's what I am.

my mom's read my mbti and enneagram books, she agrees that i'm an infp but she thinks i'm a 5 instead of a 4. i'm purposely not emotional around her though.

Yeah, whatever one is most likely to display an underwhelming lack of achievement relative to her actual "potential" and investment in her education and upbringing, yet still manages to act like a groundlessly entitled know-it-all with no sense of obligation to those around her. Bonus points if it captures the nuanced disappointments wrought by a child with a mile wide self-sabotaging streak, complete inability to manage money, and is "fetishistically private" with everyone excluding her friends whom you hate. I also have dated an ungodly amount of (two) white guys.

They'd probably guess NT when they found out FAIL wasn't a type.

    Yeah, really.

My parents would type me as even more ESTJ than I think I am -- just because they remember what I was like before I got my Te under control!

They'd probably type me as either INFP or INTP, and 4w5 or 5w4 (even I had a hard time with this). It's also possible they might type me as 9w1 because I never get into conflicts with people.

My INTP father thinks I'm too emotional most likely. When he sees fit to verbally respond to my concerns (typically regarding the family members he ignores that he is responsible for because he doesn't like reality intruding on his comfort zone) it's usually accompanied by a slight, patronizing eye roll. Without knowing type, thinks he's dealing with an ENFJ.

My ESFJ mother has accused me more than once of being too indifferent and too logical "just like your father" (because her version of addressing a situation is FREAKING THE HELL OUT AND EVERYONE ELSE SHOULD TOO!) She says the word logical as if it smells like poo. Without knowing type, thinks she's dealing with an INTJ.

    Oh THE irony.

Note: ...considering that only my four brothers have the advantage of seeing the role-shifting I take on between my divorced parents, my friends, and my job, I would bet that they have a much more accurate view of who I really am.
