It seems that most ESFJ mothers do this.

I don't know what my dad would type me as. My mother would type me as an ISTP.

"Mom, what would you type me as?"
"What? you're my child. What are you talking about?"

"Dad, what would you type me as?"
    *silence*

Naw, this is just gonna end badly.

Honestly, I don't know how my parents would type me even if they understood type. I think they would say I was very smart and very creative and very quiet and not very organized and always have loved books, read fast, and understood what I was reading and understanding many things in general.

All of which sounds kinda INTP, I guess, though...

They would also say I was a very kind person, although my mother wouldn't understand why I don't follow all the expected social etiquette of being nice.

How about I just tell you what my mom often says about me and you can just figure out the type.

My mom's always saying that I'm full of wisdom for someone my age, I'm well organized, and brilliant when it comes to figuring things out. I'm well composed and I'm not an emotional prepubescent girl. She also thinks I'm pretty analytical.

So you decide what that possibly means.

Sure it does. People mistype other people all the time, even themselves. I have shown a few family members MBTI and functions, and they still type me as INTJ. It's absurd, really.

my parents would definitely type me as I and TJ because I am cold and businesslike around them and am constantly telling them when they've overstepped into my boundaries. N is blatantly obvious, so they'd probably say INTJ and 8w9 because I'm cool and level headed around them, but stubborn and refuse to back down on anything. like most EFJ mothers, mine thinks there is something wrong with me
