I think sometimes people don't put their type because they're frustrated with being treated a certain way because of what their type says. Or because they can't figure their type out from like maybe two or three different types.
I don't think it's always because they're pulling a Victor.
I can tell you what, though, it's made me happier than anything to put iSFP in mine without worrying what anyone will think of it. Especially since I know someone who actually knows me well like talks to me every day one on one for over a year sees it too, and he also knows function theory, and isn't projecting archetypes or bias because of my forum persona on me.
you have mentioned many valid points, good ma'am... some of us have more ambiguous typology, and though we may occasionally pick one (or several!) different types if forced to do so, none are really good enough to get judged by on the forum by putting it down as a type
