Me, too. It's not out of line to want to see an actual MBTI type in the MBTI space on an MBTI forum. Sure, people stereotype based on perceived types sometimes, but putting "FAIL" instead of "ENTP" in your MBTI space isn't going to suddenly make you the Rosa Parks of typology forums.

I think sometimes people don't put their type because they're frustrated with being treated a certain way because of what their type says. Or because they can't figure their type out from like maybe two or three different types.

    I don't think it's always because they're pulling a Victor.

I can tell you what, though, it's made me happier than anything to put iSFP in mine without worrying what anyone will think of it. Especially since I know someone who actually knows me well like talks to me every day one on one for over a year sees it too, and he also knows function theory, and isn't projecting archetypes or bias because of my forum persona on me.

FAIL vs ENTP is kinda appropriate though, don't you think?

    HEEHEEEHEEEHEE.

I think some people (cough cough) don't share their type to avoid stereotyping or to be mysterious or to mess with people. You really do interpret what people say differently based on their type. At least, I do. Sometimes their type does inform you and give you proper context for their comments (like an INTP who says "I hate INTPs") but other times it can lead to comments being dismissed. I think people hide their type to let their comments do the talking.

For myself, I figure most people already know I am a big bad ESTJ so the point is moot.
