You're really falling into the NT stereotype there.

I can get technical about it but it'd go into metaphysical thought.

    Why the hat?

... just... why? How is the cone tipped hat innovative or magical at all? Does it draw energy from the vibrations around it into a ball of raw voltage? Do you aim it at the enemy like The Penguin aims his umbrella? Does it serve as a portal-potty?

    Some of my oddball fascinations:

    - Lomography: a kind of analog photography that overexposes film and lets more light/contrast into photos, also with other crazy effects that people normally would do with Photoshop... but it's all analog, no computers!

    - Synths: Analog, digital, samplers... you name it... I see black and white keys and knobs to play with and you'll notice the drool coming out of the sides of my mouth. (But then again, as a musician, this is to be expected!)

    - Sound clips of civil defense sirens: This is the strangest fascination I have... and oddly I find the sounds have musical properties to them... even though it's supposed to warn you that sh** is going to hit the fan. But they still sound cool.

    - Fairy tale stuff: I should have grown out of this by the time I was 10 years old, but I still love fairy tales and fantasy.

    - Old school DOS and Windows based games.

    - Vintage/retro fashion, decor, architecture, and art: Anything from the Romantic period all the way up to the 80s.

    - Time travel: Deloreans, TARDISes, and worm holes... oh my!

    - The concept of a 4th dimension. Saw it mentioned in Carl Sagan's Cosmos, and it sparked my interest.

    - The artistic quality of mundane stuff.

    - Astrophysics and astronomy. (Well, okay, not so strange since I'm a science geek!)

    - Fonts.

    - Rainbows.

    - Shiny, glittery, or transparent objects. (Don't ask me why! LOL)

    - Sounds in general.

Fire had me going a while back, fire under zero gravity is the coolest thing ever (not literally).

My Enneagram type (9), I learned everything about it to the point where I could almost write the definitions myself. I'm slowly gaining the same understanding of other types, but it's much harder.

Caffeine. I tried abstaining from it to see how addicted I am, and I found it to be psychologically addictive more than anything. I feel compelled to turn on the kettle and have a warm cup in my hands sometimes, it was kind of hard to abstain from it. I could never feel any difference from caffeine, but I focused on it, and realized that I think so much faster and more focused with a nice dose of it.

    That's not "energy". It's Down's Syndrome.
