    Default Showers

I absolutely love showers. Not because they're more time- and money-effective than a bath. But because you go in feeling grotty or dirty (depending on whether you've just woken up or exercised respectively) and mentally mashed-up (if you've just woken up) to clear-headed and refreshed. It's such a fantastic feeling, like you've been born again.

I couldn't agree more! Being clean is where it's at.

me too but they have to have good water pressure and the water temperature has to be just right between hot and scolding. My dad had hip surgery and my mom took the shower doors off and was like you can't use the shower on the second floor you have to use the one in the attic which has no water pressure so I don't feel as clean even though I do use soap and shampoo and all that other fancy stuff. while I was home I also love having a good think in the shower

The flippers we bought our house from put the shower head up really high and I'm short, so it's just this little sprinkle by the time it gets to me. Not fun. It's baths for me for the unforeseeable future.
“There are two novels that can change a bookish fourteen-year old’s life: The Lord of the Rings and Atlas Shrugged. One is a childish fantasy that often engenders a lifelong obsession with its unbelievable heroes, leading to an emotionally stunted, socially crippled adulthood, unable to deal with the real world. The other, of course, involves orcs.”

yes! I'm very very picky about my shower, and like you, I want strong water pressure that just beats all the dirt off my skin, plus I need it RIGHT on the edge of burning.

If it's not hot enough, I still feel gross and it doesn't wake me up either.

I feel cleaner with showers. Baths, however, are pretty fun for making as hot as possible, then sitting and reading. (And then you get the whole shaving thing too, which seems a little easier in a bath at least for seeing what you missed.)

Want to swap showers?.. The one at my place is basically level with my face. It's a pain having to duck in the shower all the time.

Baths are pretty much always out for me, unless it's one of those giant jacuzzi tubs.

So yeah I have a love/hate relationship with showers and baths. Love the clean feeling, but they're a pain in my joints.

I don't want it, I just need it, to breathe, to feel, to know I'm alive.

Never take life to seriously.. No one gets out alive in the end anyway.

I like taking baths while reading a good book or juicy gossip magazine.

Thanks Cafe! Now I know what to get you for your Birthday.

My dream bathroom would include a Vichy shower, a steam room/wet room, and a soaking tub...with jacuzzi jets. A bath house at home! I would still go to the bathhouses though (hot and cold tubs, tubs infused with ginseng or chocolate, can't get that stuff at home!)

If you like the invigorating feeling of showers, you should try salt scrubs or super scratchy east asian wash cloths.

I kind of want to take one now! I played soccer today so I'm a bit sweaty. Its so tempting!

Showers are great. They give me time to reflect or just come up with crazy ideas (I once somehow started thinking about oreos and decided they were designed to be a "fun" cookie ).

    Plus being clean is fun.
