    I see. In a somewhat similar genre, you may like Grizzly Man. Unlike McCandless, Treadwell was a bit on the cuckoo side ( sad but strangely comedic at times).

    i love netflix...love finding tv shows i've never heard of and watch them back to back marathon style. i just watched a mermaid one and it was awesome! haha oh and i recently watched a movie about a person that could change genders...that was the coolest.

    Wow, if "Into the Wild" was the worst movie you've seen, then you've only watched really good movies on netflix.

    As an aside, I saw that documentary/followed the news on Treadwell when it happened. Very sad. Yes, he was kind of crazy in his approach and it was probably fated to end poorly, but it was ironic that living in that danger actually brought him stability and purpose that he hadn't found elsewhere in his life. Chris was far more rational, even if inexperienced.

    I enjoyed the book more, but I typically enjoy Krakauer's work.
