    both my parents have gender neutral names- it leads us to be able to weed out the sales people calling because they ask for Mr (my mom's name) or Mrs (my dad's name) instead of the right gender

    Not cool to lose one's temper sometimes

    I doubt I'll ever have kids, but if I did I would prefer to give them a nice simple name like Grace or John- I find a certain beauty in simplicity!

    ^. True. Plus, with all the new fangled names coming up, Grace or John would instead be rarer!

    i don't think i'll have kiddon'ts too ( ), but on the rare possibility that i might:

    Shane and Geoffrey for the boys.
    Aerin for the girl.

    Would also depend on the surname of the guy though. You wouldn't want to name your kid something like Richard Hard. Imagine the diminutive.
    You gave me hyacinths first a year ago;
    They called me the hyacinth girl.
    Yet when we came back, late, from the Hyacinth garden,
    Your arms full, and your hair wet, I could not
    Speak, and my eyes failed, I was neither
    Living nor dead, and I knew nothing,
    Looking into the heart of light, the silence.

    Absolutely. It's more common than people think. I just like the idea of the super-Italian names, even if my kids are no more than an eighth-Italian (and most of my family names are boring). I also think it's cool when black men have French, Spanish, or Italian first names (e.g., Andre, Antoine, Alonzo, Dante). There are tons of cool combinations there. I like Irish and Welsh first names a lot, as well. As for the skin tone and eye color, I could easily end up marrying a non-Caucasian female, and perhaps incorporate names from her background, as well. Siobhan Esmeralda (goofy, hard-to-pronounce Italian last name).

    Blaise (blaze) is kind of a neat name too. I've known one in real life and he was a cool dude.

    Francesca is a fine name! Matthias (Swedish pronunciation?) Giuseppe is a little more out there, but I like each name individually. The first name-surname combination is important for me.
