My sister's middle name is joy. She is quite a joyful person too.

I'm not one of those guys that has become strangely feminist, and hates men in concept. It's just that I really do feel a lot more comfortable around females. Maybe it's because I had three brothers and no sisters, and not such a warm relationship with them. But who knows, that's just spontaneous psycho-analysis.

The point is, I realize that it might be really awkward if my kids were male.

I haven't found many names I would probably name my children, but I've found a couple I'm partial to. I haven't given it that much thought, though.

    Boy: Calvin. Ethan. Jonas.

    Girl: Camille. Meraine. Lily.

My husband and I are trying for a baby now.

My first child from a previous relationship is Andrew Ryan.

If we have a baby together, it would be family names.

Boy: William Jonathon. His family tradition is to give the first son dad's first name as a middle name. So, William for my father and Jonathon for his (meaning my husband's name, of course).

Girl: Elizabeth Jean. Elizabeth for my grandmother, and Jean for both of hers.

I like continuity. I have a great family history that's all documented (family trees, scrapbooking, heirlooms), and I look forward to being able to pass that history on.
