Then again, this is a sample of people who joined a club intended to worship their own collective intelligence. Idk what I was thinking even trying to find down-to-earth, creative, open-minded friends there.

Most of my closest friends are Ivy League professors, engineers, scientists, etc. People who are undoubtedly smarter than average, yet I click with them beautifully. I've even contributed ideas that they implemented - successfully.

It's their humility that enables them to associate with a 21-year-old ESFP such as myself.

I don't feel intelligent at all, tbh. Outside of work, school or close friends (such as those mentioned above), I always assume the other person's smarter than me, or better-equipped with common sense.

I struggle pretty badly with rote "learning." Work my ass off just to not fail history/accounting classes.
I don't mean to throw all your life decisions into question but why are you taking accounting and history courses with ADD? IME that's an awful lot like taking up drywalling when you only have one arm and blaming your lack of manual dexterity for your underperformance.

Aside from the common ADD neurosis of judging oneself entirely by one's weaknesses and ignoring one's strengths, you are a pretty brilliant person and I don't think you're being fair to yourself.

But I've told you that before. Maybe this time the context is right?

Hmm, I don't remember ever interacting with you - see what I mean about my shit memory? ;D

I'm in my senior year in college - but I already have my own tech startup that's set to expand from here in SoCal to NYC. I actually hire an accountant, especially since the volume of operations justifies it regardless of my skill at it.

I'm only sticking it out in school because since I already got so close to a degree, I might as well cross the finish line and come out with a versatile/useful degree to fall back on.

Anyway, I'm still not satisfied. Not until I'm #1. Sometimes I'll obsessively spend hours reading about Rhodes Scholars just to rub it in my own face how much better they are than I am. Jealousy's a bitch, and I admit I suffer from it.

Why are people so anti-intelligence? It's okay to consider yourself intelligent or have high EQ or to be attractive or any other societally deemed strength, such as physical or emotional strength as long as people aren't constantly bragging about it.

It makes me wonder if people are so concerned about feeling inadequate as compared to others, that they want to tear others down to their level of self-belief. That said, there's much to be said about being realistic.

I probably have you confused with someone else who happened to share similar experiences. Your 'voice' is a bit different from hers, but I chalked that up to caffeine or something. Oh well.

Anyway, I wish you luck! Even uf you aren't a super genius, you can still be awesome. In fact, I get the impression that you already are! You can be humble without deliberately sabotaging your self-esteem. I promise.

I wouldn't be surprised if I did. I don't know my IQ, but I would say it is probably in the 130s. I wish they had a musical IQ test
Excuse me, but does this smell like chloroform to you?
