    Default Phrases That Annoy You

Okay, so I'm always hearing phrases that for one reason or another, annoy the crap out of me when I hear them. Sometimes it deals with the subject matter, and at other times it's just the sheer rhythm of the phrase (or something else) that just SOUNDS wrong to me, and makes me want to gouge out eyeballs.

Here are a couple of mine:

"open up a can..." (used in reference to when someone is trying to help me cook, sigh)
"you need to get you..." (CAN ANYONE SEE THE UNNECESSARY YOU HERE!?)

    Or better yet, even...
"you need to X!" (which is not followed by an explanation.)

Also, the word, "stoop". *throws a toaster*

So, what words/phrases can you find that make you want to pitch a fit? xD

'Would it be possible for you to X'. Someone at my work experience was constantly saying that and on the outside I was saying 'Yes of course' but on the inside I was saying 'OF COURSE IT'S BLEEDING POSSIBLE FOR ME TO DO IT DO I LOOK LIKE A MORON??!!!'
Where you used to be, there is a hole in the world, which I find myself constantly walking around in the daytime, and falling into at night. I miss you like hell. ~Edna St. Vincent Millay

    "Not for nothing, but..."

If it's not for nothing then it's gotta be for something, and I would hope what you're about to say actually means something, so why the hell say this?

"Hey, you wanna do me a favor?"

followed by an extremely long pause where they don't understand that I'm waiting to know what it is

    alternatively...

JK or LOL said in real life...like that.
"You will always be fond of me. I represent to you all the sins you never had the courage to commit."

Reason is, and ought only to be the slave of the passions, and can never pretend to any other office
than to serve and obey them. - David Hume

lol. Yeah. I hate that. "No offense, BUT.." Whenever someone follows a phrase by BUT in that kind of a context, they usually don't mean what they said before, and are just trying to sound sweet for whatever reason.
