By the ocean. Or really, any body of water.

Driving long-distance with good music in good weather.

Sitting by an open window while it's raining really hard.

Reading a really good book late at night.

Laying down in front of the fan after taking a shower or bath.

Anything with or by water. Ocean, lake, stream, bathtub.... All are heaven to me.

My inner mind thinking about times that relaxed me. Like laying in bed when I was very young... It's summer, and outside I can hear the murmur of my parents talking on the deck, and the rustling of crickets.

My bed where I am fre to roam the universe amidst pillows and a Ceiling fan.

Anyplace remote where I can look at the stars without too much light pollution.

My car when I go for a drive just to think.

Edit: rain. Looooove the sound of rain on my roof... Or running in rain... Or just standing in rain.... If rain was a man, I'd hit that.

    Yes to these. And also:

    - Listening to music that I have a personal connection with; it doesn't bring up specific memories, but it does make me feel calm and safe
    - Sitting in an old church, or cathedral -- especially when there's a pipe organ being played
    - Doing laundry. Don't laugh; the warmth and nice smell of laundry rooms, plus the calming monotony of folding clothes, can be very soothing sometimes
    - Sitting or lying in enclosed spaces

    - Alone in my room, when the house is quiet, undisturbed by the outside world.
    - On the lake, fishing or watching the waves roll into shore.
    - In the bathtub with bubbles and music [water for me has always had a soothing effect]
    - By a campfire at night
    - In the passenger seat with someone I trust while they drive with no destination in mind

Rain makes a nice sound. I think I feel comforted when it is raining because it is a reminder of the security a modern dwelling provides to a person. I'm not just lazily lying in lemon-colored blanket through a dreary morning, I'm doing it while nature unleashes hell. I don't have to do anything but listen to the sound though, there is no discomfort, only reassurance of all I have to be thankful for. Things like roofs, you know.

My bed. Listening to music on my own and surfing the net. Slouching on the couch with a good book. Places with no people around.

Mine is the shower too. If I'm stressed, I will often go for a shower. Reasons are those you mentioned in the OP. I feel guilty for taking long showers (water restrictions here), but I love sitting down in the shower, closing my eyes and enjoying the sensation.

Also, as some people have mentioned, driving is another comfort zone/happy place. Another one is my local beach during winter, rugged up with a big coat. Often there are not many people there, just a few walking their dogs. The sounds, the cold and the wind is refreshing.

My bed with lots of blankets. My car. Quiet places I hide. I used to find libraries nice for this reason.
Currently submerged under an avalanche of books and paper work. I may come back up for air from time to time.
Real life awaits and she is a demanding mistress.

Where doesn't matter, just anywhere where I'm alone and not being bothered.
I got my smile from the sunshine,
I got my tears from the rain.
I learned to dance when I saw a tiger prance,
And a peacock taught me to be vain.
A little owl in a tree so high,
He taught me how to wink my eye.
I learned to bill and coo from a turtledove,
And a grizzly bear taught me how to hug.
But the guy that lived two caves from me,
He taught me how to love.
